This story is not about any particular politician. It is about a certain mindset, and people I know- real people who vote liberal without thinking- people who put politics above real life. I’m talking about family members who I have known and loved all my life. It was through their hatred of all things good, that I came to this conclusion. And now, as I had some time to think about it, the way the hate grew over the years, I can clearly see the reasoning that led to this inevitable outcome- liberals MUST hate. If they don’t, they implode. It’s the reason we as a nation are so divided, and the reason why my family is so divided as well.
There’s a crazy connection between politics and real life. On one hand, a person may believe in a certain political view, but when they see a family member hurt by that view, they should change their view- if they care about that person.
For example, I used to be pro-abortion. It was a long time ago, and this is one of the events that turned me to the right But, when I heard a certain cousin say she might get one, although I reasoned along with her as she shared her feelings, I felt her pain when she said that word- abortion. I saw the devastation in her eyes and it hit me- abortion is a terrible thing- not only for the baby that doesn’t get to live, but for the mother who has to live with that on her conscience. So I changed my view and became pro-life. Real life trumped politics.
Another example is the Affordable Care Act (ObamaCare). Being a hardcore conservative myself, I never liked Obama from the beginning, mainly because of his extreme abortion stance on the Born Alive Act (he supported killing babies even after they were born). But, being in desperate need of some affordable health care, I was very hopeful that it would work. Of course, it didn’t, and instead it raised health care costs for low income people in my family, and in fact was financially devastating for me personally. But what do my liberal family members say? It’s better than the old way. Are you kidding me? I went from $100 a month to $500 a month- not counting meds, doctor visits- it’s insane at my income level- but they still love it. They chose politics over real life.

OK, here’s the story…
I grew up in a democrat home. In fact, still to this day most of my family and friends are life-long democrats. They don’t use the word liberal to describe themselves, and some are actually conservative but haven’t figured that out yet. A few of them buy into all the liberal wives tales and scams like global warming and overpopulation. A few even call themselves Christian- although they don’t actually believe the Bible- they support gay marriage, abortion on demand, and even now, after all he has done, they still love Obama. If you ask why, the answer is, “he’s charming” or something similar. Never mind the fact that all the poorer ones in the family can’t afford gas these days, let alone food- and don’t get me started on healthcare. That’s been a disaster for me personally.
Not only do they have to hate all things good. They have to love evil.
If they don’t, they betray themselves. I see it now, so clear. I should have known it all along, but I didn’t. I hung in there, loving them even though they were rude, showing up at family functions even though they were always sarcastic and hateful. I wish I never put my wife and kids through that abuse- telling them to just take it on the chin while we make our appearances. In hindsight, that was a mistake. I should have stood up a long time ago. But I hung in there, thinking they really loved us, but were just rude people for some unknown reason. It took me a lot of time to realize it was their politics that drove them to hate their own flesh and blood.
The fact is, they hate. They don’t love. Well, maybe they do love animals. Yeah, they love animals. But not people. Well, not those who disagree. They think they know best, and everyone else is just stupid. And liberalism rules the day, not religion, not family, not flesh and blood, not even God can change their mind about right and wrong. They see wrong as right and right as wrong, just like it says in the Bible…

Who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness;
Who substitute bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!

And clever in their own sight!
Liberal Christians don’t want to know the truth.
At first, I thought maybe I just had a few crazy, angry people in my family (and I do). But now, after a generation has passed, it has become very clear- it was their liberalism that pushed them over the edge of sanity and into the abyss of hatred for all things good. And now, as I see how divided our country is, with so many Christians standing on the wrong side of the fight, I can see how it came to be that way, not only in my family, but in the whole country.
This nation is divided and becoming more so quickly. It is insanity, for real. Just like Doc Brown in Back to the Future as he stood at his chalkboard- at some point in time, they skewed off the path of reality and wound up on a path of hate- a skewed reality.
Let’s look at how it can even be possibly for a person to believe liberal propaganda.
If you think about it, we have the whole internet at our fingertips. There is no reason in this day and age for a person to simply believe whatever they hear. You can check and double-check everything now. There is no more excuse for being ignorant. Yet, many still are- and they don’t even look for the truth. They don’t want the truth. Instead, they want you to believe the lies like they do. And if you don’t? They get angry.
They fell for it, and they want you to as well. They gave in to the peer pressure.
At some point in their life, someone told them to believe this propaganda or else remain stupid. So they chose to believe it. They gave in to the peer-pressure. Maybe they watch too much MSNBC, where they do that every day.
People are creatures of habit. And most fear change. I remember when I changed. Like I said, I used to be a liberal. But when I was in my 20’s I started to open my eyes. As I searched for truth (and found it), I became more loving, forgiving and generous. They clung to lies and became bitter. Every political issue, no matter how it affects people they know, they still say it’s better this way- no matter what.
Take abortion for example. At some subconscious level, everyone knows it is simply wrong to end the life of a human being, even a tiny one in the womb. But liberals defend it. Even so-called Christians. Even though the Bible clearly states Thou Shall not Kill. So, in order to accept this killing with a clear conscience, they HAVE to convince themselves that it’s not a baby at all- it’s just a gob of goo.
In fact, one of my liberal family members said it was “sick” that my daughter was pregnant, simply because she wasn’t married. Myself, I thought it was wonderful. But to my liberal, hating relative, an abortion would have been more wonderful than a beautiful little granddaughter.
Gay marriage is the same thing. The Bible is very clear that homosexuality is an abomination to God. Yet many so-called Christians support it. Why? Because they believe the world, not the Bible. They’d rather believe Obama than God.
Animal rights is even crazier. Some liberals think animals are just as important, or even more important than people. You don’t have to be a Christian to know that people are more important than animals. Come on.
Genesis 1:26
Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; and let them rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over the cattle and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”
If you are a Christian, you should believe the Bible, right?
I mean, seriously, if you say you’re a Christian, but you don’t believe the things in the Bible, how do you even know you’re a Christian? Calling yourself one doesn’t make you one. You must be born again, according to the Bible. And how do you become born again? By the renewing of your mind.
Romans 12:2
Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.
Liberals who call themselves Christian are actually the enemies of Christ, but they don’t think so. They think they are smarter than everybody else, and God too. They believe the world over the Bible. They are doing the exact opposite of what the Bible instructs them to do in Romans 12:2 above.
Liberal logic defies reason.
Once they get on that slippery slope, where reality contorts to meet worldview, it just spirals out of control. Now it’s part of their logic and reasoning, so from this point on, rather than admit defeat, they adjust defeat to mean something else.
Political worldview trumps religion, family, everything.
But the opposite is true for me. To me, God, and family comes first. I put my family above my politics. And I will always keep seeking truth, whatever or wherever it may be, even if I don’t like it. In fact, if you disagree with me, try me- present some truth that I’m not seeing here. And if it is real truth, I will change my mind- especially if you show it to me in the Bible. I believe the Bible is Truth with a capital T.
I think another reason they hate is because they think love is a feeling. Since they get angry at Bible-believers, they follow their emotions and anger becomes hate. What they don’t get is, love is an action, it’s something you do, not something you feel. Like, you feel. Lust, you feel. But love is something you do. You can decide to love someone, even if you disagree with them. And I still love them, even though they hate me.
